The cost of sickness absence to your company should not be underestimated.

According to the department for Work And Pensions an estimated 140 million working days are lost every year through staff sickness.

Each year around 11 million employees take sick leave.

Employers pay £9 billion a year on sick pay and associated costs e.g. administrative and recruitment costs.

The Chartered Institude of Personnel and Development estimates that the direct and indirect costs of replacing an employee averages almost £6,000.

Employing an unsuitable candidate is costly to your company. The use of our pre-placement medical service can optimise your recruitment process.

A medical assessment allows a prospective employer to ascertain if the health and fitness of an employee can meet the stresses and demands of the job.

Our pre-placement medicals involve a comprehensive medical examination with a fully trained doctor and any diagnostic tests and investigations you require to determine the health of your employee.

Our sickness absence review includes comprehensive medical examination, a detailed interview and questionnaire addressing any issues you wish to raise and provides an in-depth report on the capacity of the employee to fill the position. We can also make suggestions as to any adjustments the employer can make to the working environment so that the employee is able to make a swift return to work.

Investigations, referrals and treatments can be given at the time of the appointment, thereby reducing any further time off work.

An annual Health Screening provides a detailed picture of the overall well-being of your staff.  Early detection of any health issues and the chance for employees to privately discuss concerns with our GP can help lower sickness absence rates and vastly improve staff morale.

We provide a range of health screens which includes at least one hour consultation time with the doctor. Most results are available within 24 hours and these are assessed to advise individuals on the appropriate course of action.

Prevention is always better than cure and the peace of mind of your employees encourages a happy, productive workplace.

After assessing your Health Screen results we are able to help with any required lifestyle changes.

According to the Department Of Health, 1 in 6 workers experiences depression, anxiety or stress.

Mental health issues in the workplace cost the UK economy more than £15bn a year in lost revenue.
